In August of 2023, Bishop John Folda announced the launch of a capital campaign for the entire Diocese of Fargo.  All parishes will be participating in an effort to raise a $20 million goal providing for these important needs such as renovating the Maryvale retreat center, a priests’ retirement home, and parish projects.

Parish Projects

30% of all funds that our parish raises up to our parish goal of $1,649,562 will be invested in our own parish projects here at Sts. Anne and Joachim. 70% of funds raised over this goal will come back to our parish projects. Here is a summary of what parish projects we hope to accomplish as a part of this Diocesan campaign.

Building Projects

  • Transform unfinished space on the second floor into classrooms for education and catechesis
  • Replace carpet in the social hall
  • Repair and update some walls and flooring in the rectory
  • Update the snowblower for the skid steer
  • Installation of a new sign on the corner of 25th street and 52nd avenue

Technology and Energy Efficiency

  • LED lighting in the church and office space.
  • Updates to the parish management software
  • Upgrades and repairs to the main sound system in the church
  • Video and camera equipment for Mass
  • Voice over IP phones for the office

Parish Safety

  • Add handicap doors to the west entrance
  • Add lights along the north sidewalk and entry
  • Repair sidewalks and main entrance concrete

Ministry

  • Liturgical items (monstrance, torches, canopy for Corpus Christi and other Eucharistic processions)
  • FOCUS Missionary Team
  • NET Ministry Team for youth
  • Icon of Sts. Anne and Joachim
While we hope to accomplish as many of these needs as possible, needs will be addressed according to priority, and final campaign donation levels. It is possible not all projects could be accomplished in this campaign, but we will get started on them as soon as we can according to pledge and donation levels.
