Pizza and Parenting

You can’t do it alone.

Marriage and parenting is hard work, and many couples feel stressed and isolated by the challenge. Wouldn’t it be great to have a simple way to invite and connect these couples with others in the same boat, to build support and community? We have a plan on just how to do that.

Tuesday January 21, 2025

Session 1: Parenting as a Path to Holiness – January 2025

  • Presentation: Featuring an interview with Fr. Boniface Hicks, OSB. Fr. Hicks is the director of the Ministry Formation at St. Vincent Seminary. Find out more at imf. saintvincentseminary.edu
  • Big Idea: Sometimes married people don’t feel they are as “holy” as those who are priests and religious, but holiness is the perfection of love and the best and most appropriate place to learn how to love is within the family.

Session 2: Preparing Your Child (And Yourself!) For Adolescence – April 2025

  • Presentation: Featuring an interview with Bill and Tanis Merimee, the Founders of Marriages of Grace. Find out more at www.marriagesofgrace.org
  • Big Idea: In adolescence, our children are going through the birth pangs of emerging into adulthood and the adults they will become.

Session 3: The Spiritual Life of Children – TBD in coming months for Sts. Anne and Joachim

  • Big Idea: Young children, aged 0-6 years old, may not have reached the age of reason but they can grow in their relationship with God in incredible ways.

Session 4: Toddlers and Tantrums – TBD in coming months for Sts. Anne and Joachim

  • Presentation: Featuring an interview with Maggie Radzik. Maggie Radzik is a trainer for the Cultural and Catechetical Montessori Association. Find out more at www.ccma-usa.org
  • Big Idea: Parents are there to help form the child, but the child is also there to help transform the parents.

Session 5: Using Technology with Virtue – TBD in coming months for Sts. Anne and Joachim

  • Presentation: Featuring an interview with Dr. Eugene Gan. Dr. Gan is a professor of Interactive Media at Francisan University of Steubenville. He is the author of Infinite Bandwidth: Encountering Christ in the Media.
  • Big Idea: God can use media and technology for good and we must learn to use it well so that we can train our children to use it appropriately.

Session 6: Evangelizing your Kids – TBD in coming months for Sts. Anne and Joachim

  • Presentation: Featuring an interview with Bob and Kate Lesnefsky. Bob and Kate are the founders of Vagabond Missions. Find out more at vagabondmissions.com
  • Big Idea: Evangelization is the conversion of the heart. To evangelize our children, we give them the opportunities to be converted through a variety of pathways.
