Parish council elections are taking place this week at Sts. Anne and Joachim Church.
You can vote by stopping by the election table in the gathering space. There are a total of six people running for three positions.
My name is Ron DesMarais. I have been a member of our parish since 2007.
My wife, Brandi, and I have been married for 16 years. We have 6 children. I have been a religious education teacher for 2 years. I’m one of the owners of Accel Mechanical in Fargo.
Hi, my name is Don Lorsung. I am married to Deb and we have been parishioners for about 4 years. Our Catholic faith has always been the priority in our lives and this includes active participation and serving our parish in various ways. I have been blessed to be a member of the Fishermen group and serve as a Guide, assisting with formation of new members. I have also been a member of the choir and am a member of the Knights of Columbus.
I am asking for your vote for the Parish Council as I see it as another way I can serve our parish family. I have a background in administration and strategic planning that I believe would be beneficial for one serving on the Council. Also, as a father of 4 children and grandfather of 10, I have a broad perspective regarding the needs of all ages and members of our parish family.
Hello, my name is Lauren Young. I am a proud member of Sts. Anne and Joachim since 2015, where I have been actively involved in various parish initiatives. My husband, Ross, and I are raising our four young boys in the Catholic faith, a journey that is central to our family’s life. Our family has been enriched by the Catholic community at Sts. A & J, and I hope to continue fostering that sense of community through my involvement in the parish council.
Professionally, I work at Bobcat, where I specialize in technology product management. My skills in strategic planning and translating vision into reality would be valuable assets as we work together to guide our parish towards a brighter future.
Hi, my name is Karla Schell. I am currently the administrative assistant at Sts. Anne & Joachim. I am looking forward to my retirement in May 2024. I have a strong desire to remain active in the parish, and share my wisdom and knowledge through my involvement with the parish council which would begin after my retirement.
I’ve been a member since 1996 and employed at Sts. Anne & Joachim since 2001. I began my career working in a bank, then a hospital, and finally as a Human Resource Director for a construction company. My husband, Galen, and I have been married 40 years. We have two grown children and two grandchildren. Both my husband and are Eucharistic Ministers.
My name is Nathan Klair and I have been a parishioner at Sts. Anne and Joachim for 6 years. I graduated from Notre Dame in 2018 and moved to Fargo as a software engineer at Microsoft.
This past June, I got married here to my beautiful wife Megan. I have been volunteering with the high school religious education program here for 4 years, but you might also recognize me from Ignite the Night, KC Breakfasts, Live Stations of the Cross, and being a proclaimer/EMHC during the 9:15 Mass.
Hello, my name is Kendall Radke. I would be humbled to serve on the pastoral council. I was born and raised on the north side of Fargo and have since moved to the south side. I am currently involved in weekly adoration and am a member of the Knights of Columbus.
I met my wife, Tiffany, at Sts. Anne & Joachim and have been happily married for 5 years. Tiffany and I also served on the Fall Festival committee this past year. We have an awesome parish of families, and I would be happy to receive your support to serve as a pastoral council member.
