I am excited to announce the start of a Parish Leadership Team here at Sts. Anne and Jaochim. I have invited four parishioners to join me and assisting me in certain areas of leadership in our community. Carrie Ward, Ted LeMier, David Shorma, and Molly Rodenbiker are all part of our new team. They have been very active in our parish already, and I am grateful to their “yes” to this significant commitment to a volunteer team that will be meeting weekly. Inviting others to lead with me has been an enriching and encouraging experience, as we will be blending various talents and experiences, sharing faith and inspiration, and empowering greater responses to mission and fruitfulness in the life of the Church. Find below some more details about our new Parish Leadership Team.
Peace of the Lord Jesus,
Fr. Luke Meyer
Pastor
“For me this word is very important. Encounter with others. Why? Because faith is an encounter with Jesus, and we must do what Jesus does: encounter others.” - Pope Francis
"We have come to believe in God's love: in these words the Christian can express the fundamental decision of his life. Being Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction." - Pope Benedict XVI, Deus Caritas Est, 1.
