Two stained glass windows were installed in the Maternity Shrine. On the left you’ll see
St. Monica, the mother of St. Augustine, and on the right you’ll see St. Gianna, a modern saint (died in 1962) who was a doctor and gave her life so that her child might live. They are both impressive – and holy – women, and are perfect fits for a Maternity Shrine. And it’s also highly fitting that these windows were installed during the month of May, the month of Mary and the month of Mother’s Day.
