SUMMARY:God and Man in America at 250 Years: Reclaiming Our Humanity — from Genesis to the Declaration
DESCRIPTION:Ryan T. Anderson\, Ph.D.\nFree and open to the public\, followed by Q & A. \nTuesday September 8th at 7:00 pm \nAs our nation marks 250 years since its founding\, what does it mean to be created — and to be free? Ryan T. Anderson\, president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center\, invites us to read the Declaration of Independence alongside the opening chapters of Genesis and to consider the vision of the human person the two hold in common. \nReflecting on creation\, the natural law\, and the “Nature and Nature’s God” the founders invoked\, Dr. Anderson will explore what it means that each of us is made in the image and likeness of God — and how that truth undergirds our endowment with life\, liberty\, and the pursuit of happiness. He will consider why we are created male and female\, and why we are made not for isolation but for friendship and communion\, with one another and with God\, and the significance of the family as the foundation of society. \nCome for an evening of substance and hope\, with time for questions and conversation to follow. \nHear Ryan speak about “Faith in a Fractured Culture” at this panel discussion on April 6\, 2026. \n \n  \nAbout the Speaker: Ryan T.
